Today, I took the crew to church (first time all the kids went in a while) and then to visit Dedushka.
We encouraged Papa to try different foods during speech therapy time, and it was a great success lol truly!
It was fun to be together and my dad was so happy the kids were there, talking more with them. Later, Era spent time with the kids and I was hanging out with Papa as we listened to Chervona Ruta and Kalinka (folk songs), and I massaged his left hand and just prayed for him.
After I got home, I watched the Golden Girls in the main room and caught up on Duolingo. Thank goodness I finished the rosary when my dad was sleeping because the TV in my room is not working and I can’t watch EWTN, which I now realize is my go-to channel.
The silver lining of that very frustrating situation is that I was in the living room most of the evening and had a chance to see what the kids were up to and laugh at a show I hadn’t seen in a long time.
I set a goal of getting up at 6 every day this week and eating simply as much as possible as it’s still Lent, so I pray that God helps me dedicate this week to Him.
