that’s what I read today in the 14th Chapter of John. “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
It’s difficult not to be afraid even as we grapple with the reality of the situation. And yet, we are SO GRATEFUL to the people who are POURING THEMSELVES into Papa. As the Occupational Therapist said, “I’ve seen miracles,” and we pray with her that we will see miracles in this case. We hear the doctor’s report, but we also have hope that through steady, steady effort and patience and most of all, God’s grace, we will see the fruits of my dad’s labor.
We pray for ample rehabilitation time so that, with a growth mindset, we can celebrate every little (and Big!) milestone. We pray that the therapists do not become weary in doing good, that everyone continues to be buoyed by faith, hope, and love to stay strong and give my dad their best, as they have been doing literally every single day. We are so, so grateful to the TEAM around my dad who has worked so hard to help my dad have a wonderful quality of life in the midst of everything. We pray for continued progress and good spirits all around!!!!!
I pray for Era, for continued wisdom and strength. I thank God for my friends, whose encouragement really spoke to my heart this week, and especially today. I thank God for time to be with the kids, and I thank God for good weather and the promise of spring.
For my friends who are celebrating Eid today, Eid Mubarak to you all!!
For my friends in the middle of Lent, may we finish the race strong and steady!
For all of us, may we have a peaceful and calm weekend and rejoice in whatever comes our way, because we know that God is with us through it all!!
