Thanks to four awesome ladies, Mitya went to school every day last week! Hooray! Thanks so much to Michele, Kristi, Sherry, and the indomitable Mrs. Franks for making time to encourage Mitya. It meant a lot to us!
Now comes the tougher part—it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to put him on the bus from my school in the morning. BUT, I am CHOOSING to have FAITH and be patient as the preschool coordinator works out her own plan which by God’s grace will be BETTER than what I had in mind. I don’t know the details, but I should know this week.
In the meantime, everybody and their Father (literally, our priest) has encouraged Mitya to be brave. And I think it is encouragement that a lot of us need to hear. This past week was our first full week of school, and school got real this week for a lot of us. Being brave and having faith and determination isn’t just for three-year-olds. It’s for all of us. We shall overcome, people. One day (one bus ride) at a time!
Hope you enjoy Labor Day!
