Recent events are causing a tectonic shift that can unleash a tidal wave of love. It starts inside of us. May it spread to every heart.
Our kids are watching.
But Holy Spirit, I can’t be loving on my own all the time. Please help me to love, truly love. Create in me a tidal wave of love.
And what does loving look like? Paul wrote that
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
God, only you can help us love and live this way. Unleash a tidal wave of love in response to what we see and hear. Help us be the role models we want to be. Please forgive us when we fail. Please help us once again, over and over, so that we are overtaken by your grace and mercy. Amen.
