Fed by a steady diet of classic holiday movies and popcorn, I have recovered from quite an intense, super frustrating church experience with the kids this morning (fueled by their desire to entertain our visitor). I am soaking in the last few hours before Monday. By the grace of God we are listening to the Carol of the Bells, smelling the Christmas tree, looking at two beautiful poinsettias sold by the Buford orchestra, admiring the angel that our friend gave us for the top of the tree, and glancing at the little nativity scene, as we sit next to each other, wrapped up in soft blankets, enjoying these last few weeks before Christmas (break ;).
Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed by these three kids, but then I think, these are the gifts God has given. Isn’t that the point of every single holiday movie? People—-they are what is important in life, even if they drive us crazy sometimes. It’s fun to decorate the house because we all get to enjoy it together. And thank God for that! Here’s to forgiveness and choosing love!
