Dad worked extremely hard in physical and occupational therapy. Thank you so much for your continued prayers! He was aided by the spirited Irish music playing in the background of the gym. Thanks to whoever put that on! Papa definitely felt the joyful and merry spirit of the day.
Today, there was a point when Era had to work, and I had to leave to change a car battery, but we are so grateful that my dad was not alone. We are so fortunate to have each other so that my dad always has an advocate by his side, and sometimes a multitude of friends. That speaks to my dad’s character and charisma, by the grace of God.
My dad left his home to make a home in a place across the ocean. I thank God for people who embraced him and our whole family.
I am so grateful that God places us in communities. And sometimes God calls us out of one place to go serve in another place. I pray that God can share His light through me in this new setting.
I also pray for peace in the Middle East and in Ukraine. I pray for God’s wisdom. We can be so limited in our thinking. I pray that we have the mind of Christ, and remember that God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. After all, only God could have given St. Patrick compassion on his former captors and a desire to help them.
I pray for supernatural compassion not only for us, but also for our leaders, and for ourselves. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!
