I was watching EWTN today and was reminded to remember St. Joseph today!!!

It was an absolutely beautiful day. Thank you so much for your prayers. WE FEEL THEM and are so strengthened by them. I also prayed a lot for St. Joseph to help my dad, and by the grace of God, my dad had a wonderful day all around, talking more (today, he told us about how he worked on an ambulance after medical school), staying longer in the chair, and generally doing awesome today! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

I had to take care of something during the afternoon and randomly got to see a bunch of my former students!! I love them so much! What is it about that 8th grade class?? They are really special kids, really amazing young adults now!!!! So good to see them again 🩷

Also, I had a strong desire to visit my mom, so my daughter and I bought flowers at Trader Joe’s and went to the cemetery to talk to Babushka and thank her for how she is helping my dad from Heaven. It was gorgeous weather and we felt very comforted by the experience.

Finally, I came home and drank the honey citrus lemon tea I got for Mitya and read John. I am about half way through. I find that book super comforting also. Next to the Psalms, it’s my current favorite book of the Bible.

Tonight, I am thinking a lot about my dad. Both my sister and I tell him all the time that he is a wonderful dad, he’s our hero and champion. That we love him so much. Every day with him is a gift. We are so blessed to have an earthly father who loves us and a Heavenly Father who cares so much about us. And we have the example of St. Joseph, a step-dad par excellence who protected and cared for the holy family. What an honor to be entrusted with such an important task. St. Joseph, our protector, pray for us!
