Soup

Today, was feeling super tired, so it was time for groceries to make soup to regain my strength. We make chicken soup with a whole chicken, onions, carrots, and celery. First, we just bring the chicken to a boil, then skim off the fat, and then add the vegetables. We cook the soup for about an hour and a half. In a separate pot, I make noodles and then folks can get as much as they want for their soup.

Tomorrow, it’s supposed to rain a lot and we have early dismissal. I want to have soup ready for the kids when they come home.

I am so thankful that I have the ingredients for soup. I have no idea what to expect re:rain, but at least we have some good food to look forward to, with oranges for desert and a vintage cola on the side.

Can you tell I am looking forward to soup tomorrow lol? My mom used to make it that way, and I always feel happy when I eat it. It makes me think of her 🩷

I am going to make cinnamon rolls in the morning, and I really hope everyone can make the bus on time, I can get to be with my dad, and then spend time with kids hopefully peacefully eating calming food together.

I pray that everyone in the area that’s supposed to get rain is safe and warm tomorrow!
