Mother by Day and Night
I am a mother first and a writer second.
Why write when I could be folding and putting away laundry? Well, because I have already partnered with my kids to fold and put it away, but even if I didn’t, I write because it helps me learn from my day, from my kids, and from myself. When I am happy, I come here to write. When I am sad, I drag myself here, too. The truth is that when we share our lives, we may find that we have a lot in common with other people, that we are not alone, and that we are put here for a reason. Processing our world is important work, and I am here to do it with you.
