Thank God for the marvelous example of Martin Luther King, Jr. Thank God for his inspirational words, his righteous action, and his courage in the face of unimaginable cruelty. An example for us now.
I am grateful to have a day to remember MLK and to be with my family and friends. Today, by the grace of God, we had a party for the youngest. My dad took the time to greet each child, we relaxed, and then — We had a super simple Winter Olympics with a kickboxing station, plank station, Bosu ball station, push up bar station, darts station (which became a cheering station after the darts lost their metal parts due to intense throwing), and a bicep curls with a 5lb weight station. Each kid had to either survive the station for a minute (for example, plank) or count their reps (for example, bicep curls). Each child had a chance to experience every station. We had individual event winners as well as an overall bronze, silver, and gold chocolate trophies (and participation trophies as well lol). I was so impressed by how hard these kids worked. They also ate chicken nuggets, played video games, played hide and seek, and ate cake (an excuse, really, to get my favorite cake from Ben & Jerry’s hahaha). Thank you to all the kids who came!!!! It was really nice to celebrate the little guy. Another bonus blessing was that my middle child had a simultaneous party for his friend, so both guys got to have a great time. Thanks to my daughter for her work in washing the dishes and showing up throughout the party!
We also had a wonderful music lesson, and now I am going to the gym! Praise God for a beautiful day!!!!
