I am grateful that we have school tomorrow, which is funny coming from someone who usually loves another snow day. But tonight, I am READY to see everyone again. I am so grateful we have a two hour delay so we can still have an unrushed morning. I pray that everyone is safe and whole and has an enjoyable day tomorrow. I pray also for the caregivers, that they take the time to make it a great morning so the kids are also feeling ready and set for the day. I am looking forward to having a nice breakfast with the kids and facing the day with hope and optimism.
I am not worried about what didn’t get accomplished this past week. I am so grateful that we made it despite the heavy weight of the icy conditions all around us.
I am ready to show some love and teach some students about the upcoming WIDA ACCESS tests. Tomorrow, I am looking forward to going to the gym again and coming home to make food together. I am looking forward to saying sorry for the mistakes I will inevitably made and learning how I can improve as a person, teacher, friend, and mom. There is so much guilt about not being there for my friends for the past fifteen years because I am either with the kids or resting after hanging out with the kids. This past week, I really appreciated friend time once my car was finally free, and I am so grateful for any and all friendship time, however brief it is, because it’s truly precious!!
