Today I had a tough evening, but my dad came and took the older two for an hour and fed them while I hung out with the youngest, watching the Olympics. He encouraged me. He did some music Duolingo, which was surprisingly calming, and that’s when he said, “The most important thing is learning.” Yesterday, I dropped down a league in Duolingo cuz I was watching the Super Bowl and I completely forgot about doing lessons. The youngest kid basically said as long as you’re learning, that’s the most important thing. Everything else is secondary (leagues, etc). He’s right. We are persevering together, just trying to keep the momentum going. I hope tomorrow evening is less stressful.
in any case, I am grateful for some calm time after a rough day.
Philippians 4:6–7 (NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
