Happy Father’s Day!

My dad doesn’t like to get his picture taken, so this regal and fierce tiger from the Richmond Zoo will serve to represent what my father is like. Yes, my dad can be incredibly kind, but he is also the protector of the family, a strong advocate, and a loyal friend. Maybe your father is a bit like that, too.

I realize now that I got really lucky in the parent lottery. Through challenges that my family has endured, my dad has been a rock and a source of strength and encouragement. We may disagree on certain things. Yet, when we needed him, he was always there, and that says a lot. My dad says brevity is the sister of talent, so I am going to make this post short and sweet. Bottom line—the kids and I are so happy that my dad loves us like he does. Not everyone has a father or a grandpa like that. I am thankful for him!
