Thank you for your prayers!!!!!!! Tonight, I experienced pure happiness going to my school and watching two awesome students pie a dear teacher friend in the face!  It was like nonstop laughter and joy.  She was happy.  We were all happy.  I haven’t laughed so hard in a while.  In like a month, actually.  I forgot what it felt like to just lose yourself in the moment.  

And it was so good to see students and talk to my teacher friends. That meant a lot to me. I am so happy the boys asked me to go to “Pi Night” – math games and pie! Thanks to everyone who organized it.  The event was wonderful.

My dad also worked really hard today and had sweet successes today!  I was so proud of him.  Every time he has therapy, I feel intense anxiety because I am afraid he will have an episode again.  Thankfully, the last few days have been great!   He even had a visit from one of his closest friends, and that lifted everyone’s spirits.

Life goes on, and tonight, I choose to count my blessings and focus on the good in life.  We all have so much to be thankful for!

You know, if nothing else, this experience makes me so grateful for the opportunity to move my body, to praise God in song and dance, to laugh, and to just appreciate every day life. Taking a walk, seeing a friend, chasing a snowflake (we actually had snow this week, followed by sunshine!). I really want to be present and take in life fully. I do not want to take anything for granted.

I want my kids to know I enjoy life even as I look forward to Heaven, where there is no pain or sorrow, no tears. Just Jesus pie-ing Peter in the face. Blasphemy, I know! Couldn’t help myself! (Or would Peter try to pie Jesus? In any case, there is joy in our future!)
