The kids all spent time with friends this weekend, and I am so thankful for that. My favorite moment was when Andy enjoyed the goat farm with his best friend from school. You may recall that Andy has a special connection to goats maybe because they are smart and independent like him, praise God. Well, he found a friend with whom to share his favorite place. They ran around, petted goats, carried goats, enjoyed a goat massage, ate goat cheese on banquettes from Marie Bette, and then enjoyed a really funny surprise. We were walking back to the car when I realized the boys had left the sliding door open. I saw that the boys looked in the car and froze. Guess who was in the car eating Cheetos? Bella, the gigantic farm dog. There was mud everywhere, and there are still some muddy paw prints on the carpet. The humor of it I appreciate more now ;), but I know if you’re going to have a play date with your best friend at a goat farm, having a huge dog in the back seat makes for a pretty sweet grand finale!
When I see my kids enjoying life with their buddies, it warms my heart. May they have many more wonderful play dates like that, paw prints and all!
