so El Roi in the book of Genesis is the name that Hagar gives God – the God Who Sees Me.
Hagar was in a difficult situation and God spoke to her to comfort her. She felt seen by God, and I imagine it brought her comfort and peace and strength.

today, I was with my dad and I looked away and then looked back at him to see that he was looking right at me. He SAW me, and it made me so happy. That was the joy of my day: being seen with love.

today, at the car pick up line, a teacher saw me and came up to my window and hugged me. Later this evening, other people reached out and I talked to them and felt like they saw me – they saw what I was going through. Isn’t this what we all want? To be seen and loved? I praise God for such a wonderful gift
