No, not WIDA testing (I wish!) but Sasha’s birthday movie get together! We saw How to Train a Dragon 3, and it was so beautiful! The Hidden World, man. What a trip. We got frozen yogurt at Bloop and then ran around in the field because what else are you gonna do after sitting and then eating ice cream? Sasha was happy and at the end of the day, that’s what matters to me. Also not leaving anyone at the theater. Equally important. Both goals accomplished thanks to my buddy Beth and her husband (and other parents who came. Thank you!). Talking like the Zootopia fox—Is it easy having a birthday get together when you are a single mom with three little kids? No, it is not. But by the grace of God, Mitya not only stayed put, but really enjoyed the movie. We had fun, and I am so grateful that it happened! As my friend G says, “I prefer to focus on the things I have” and so with that in mind, I am so thankful for the people of Cville who made this a great day for my family. Woohoo!
